When Evening Falls – The Search For Barbara O’Connell This documentary is the story of determination, courage, disappointment and hope.  We follow Gerard Wakelam from Herefordshire in England who at almost ninety years of age is still searching for someone who may be able to shed some light on where his Irish mother or her family came from.  When Gerard was only four years old his mother developed tuberculosis and died, his grief stricken father forbade him or his siblings to ever speak of their mother again and so Gerard was to spend decades of his life searching for answers to questions that had haunted him about her all his life.  This documentary follows what would become his last search to Ireland once again in a desperate race against time……….    If you have any queries email us at westwicklowfilms@eircom.net
